Poland’s leading DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat plans to launch a further proprietary channel, in cooperation with another broadcaster, in the second half of this year.
The news was given by Dominik Libicki, the company’s president, quoted by Wirtualne Media, with Maciej Stec, a member of Telewizja Polsat’s board, adding that the launch date would be determined strictly by finances.
Separately, Libicki has confirmed that TV Mobilna, the DVB-T-delivered mobile TV service that Cyfrowy Polsat plans to launch prior to Euro 2012, will include the channels Polsat Sport and Polsat Sport Extra in its offer.
TV Mobilna will provide viewers with a total of eight TV channels and 12 radio stations, with reception being possible through M-T 5000 mobile decoders connected via Wi-Fi to devices such as smartphones or tablets.
