Dutch public broadcaster NOS is planning to fire up to 12 live streams during the Olympic Summer games, which will target multi-screens.
The 12 streams will be available online in the Netherlands with geoblocking in place.
NOS are now developing multiple ‘sports summer’ apps for mobile usage for iOs and Android phones and tablets. Also, the broadcaster hopes to connect all major smart TV devices.
Both Samsung and Philips have confirmed their connected TV sets will deliver the live streams, and others, including Sony, will probably follow suit.
The apps will also be active after the sports summer, offering live streams of the digital thematic channels Journaal 24 and Politiek 24 and more.
