Turner Broadcasting’s female skewed channel Glitz is also launching on Liberty Global’s German nets Kabel BW and Unitymedia. In May, Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV service Entertain will also add the channel to its line-up.
German news reports suggest that Sky might want to offer its rival Deutsche Telekom live Bundesliga football – most likely as reseller of the Sky Sport products. At the moment the incumbent does not sell Sky channels on its IPTV platform Entertain.
Swiss IPTV service Swisscom TV is adding the ten new HD channels from German public broadcasters to its HD bouquet. The channels will launch on May 1. Swisscom TV is also adding RTL Nitro in SD.
Also in Switzerland, UPC Cablecom said it is adding three more HD channels from Germany to its line-up, Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD and kabel eins HD. Subscribers now have access to, depending on their subscription, between 11 and 25 HD channels.
