Penthouse Digital Media Productions has said that Dutch IPTV provider KPN is launching the Penthouse HD 1 Channel to its approximately 600,000 connected homes.
KPN’s initial broadcast of the Penthouse HD 1 Channel on March 8, 2012 was in standard definition as part of the operator’s Erotiek Pakket through its fibre network. On April 2, 2012 the channel launched through KPN’s XDSL network. Additionally, in the near future, KPN will launch the core feed of Penthouse. HD 1, simultaneously with its SD converted version.
The Penthouse HD family of channels was launched in 2009 and currently reaches over 300 million households globally, It includes two 3D channels, the first of their kind in Europe.
