Technicolor Nederland has chosen Divisio, a turnkey hosted iDTV multi-platform service from Dutch based Divitel.
For many years, Technicolor Nederland has been managing the CAI network of the Media Park in Hilversum, a closed network, which is being upgraded with the aid of Divisio to the next generation of IPTV. This is a managed service whereby Technicolor can offer differentiated signals to the various broadcasters and broadcast-facilitating companies at the Media Park. This means that Technicolor can provide distinctive services for each customer (for example, own ‘look and feel’, own channel list, and so on).
The Media Park in Hilversum is home to the Dutch public broadcasters and the Dutch RTL channels, as well as a number of other media and broadcasting companies.
“Technicolor’s deliberate choice for Divisio underlines our years of experience in the field of video distribution and our close collaboration with them,” says Hans Kornmann, CEO and owner, Divitel.
Technicolor’s operations manager, Marco van ’t Slot: “The CAI network is a major component of our infrastructure at the Media Park. The many companies here, and thus our customers, each have their own demands and wishes with regard to television signals. Divitel’s Divisio offers us a reliable way to provide for that differentiation”.
