The Polish DTH platform n ended 2011 with 929,000 subscribers. This was 29,000 more than expected and a 15% increase year-on-year.
TVN’s pre-paid DTH offer meanwhile saw its customers base increase by 7% during 2010 to 345,000, of which 79,000 received HD services.
Revenues for platform n rose by PLN126 million (€30.1 million) in 2011 to a total of PLN739 million.
Commenting on TVN’s results, CEO Markus Tellenbach said it successfully met its targets for 2011, “with performance reflecting market volatility in the advertising driven part of operations and strong development of pay-TV business ahead of consolidation of satellite TV space.”
Following last year’s agreement with their respective owners, the DTH platforms n and Cyfra+ will shortly be merged into a single operation.
