Sony is changing the name of its PlayStation Network to Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) starting February 8.
SEN, previously called Qriocity, represents Sony’s online streaming services, which include music, games, ebooks and video, will integrate Video Unlimited (previously Video on Demand by Qriocity) and Music Unlimited into a single platform.
“This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account,” the company said in a statement.
The shift will be implemented in software updates to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game consoles. The change is in name only, and users of the service can continue to use their username and password.
