Broadpeak has come out top in the latest survey of European video-on-demand server software by the Multimedia Research Group.
The IPTV Market Leaders Report, covering autumn/winter 2011 put Broadpeak in pole position for the second successive survey.
“With consumer demand for high-quality video over the Internet rising rapidly, Broadpeak is poised to build on the company’s continued success and develop a global profile in delivering market-leading VOD technologies to increasing numbers of service providers around the world,” said Broadpeak president and CEO, Jacques Le Mancq. “We are delighted to be recognized by MRG as the leading VOD server software vendor in Europe and leverage this ranking for even greater market share.”
The report measures the number of active IPTV subscribers that use the company’s services or are supported by a company’s products. This is then verified by data from both platforms and their suppliers.
Broadpeak is behind of the BkS family of VOD servers that ingest video assets and streams them based on subscriber requests.
