French cable operator Numericable has unveiled its new set-top box, simply called ‘Le Box’.
Last week, the first details of the new all singing, all dancing set-top box surfaced in French online press (see Broadband TV News passim).
Numericable has now officially launched the product, which comes together with its top-of-the-line product offer called Power+Cinema, which costs from €59.90 a month and upwards, depending on the services bought.
The bouquet offers more than 300 TV channels including Cine+, all Disney Channels, all music channel from MTV, National Geographic, Planete+, Eurosport and ESPN America HD.
The set incorporates four tuners and two decoders, so people can watch a different channel elsewhere in the house.
Television can also be streamed to mobile devices, anywhere, using iOS and Android (via WiFi or 3G/EDGE).
The package also includes fixed line telephony with unlimited calls to all of mainland France, 200 Mbps internet access for homes connected to fibre (30 Mbps for cabled homes).
