60 % of ANGA Cable space is booked

December 7, 2011 10.10 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Six months before the opening of the show, Anga Cable has announced that binding registrations have been received from 210 companies for 60% of the exhibition space.

In 2012, the congress programme will be expanded by an additional summit event: Besides the TV and the Broadband Summit, there will be an International Technology Summit with high-level industry representatives from the USA and Japan, amongst others. They will discuss the strategies and technologies for the connected home.

Dr. Peter Charissé, managing director of Anga Cable, said in a statement: “Next year’s key topics will be Smart TV and hybrid networks. These topics equally combine a huge development potential for network operators, manufacturers and content providers, which no other event displays more comprehensively and competently than Anga Cable, which has been bringing together infrastructure and content for more than ten years.

“With our equally important topics broadband and TV we have always been a ‘hybrid’ event and therefore the perfect market place for merging traditional TV and IP. This is also the cause for the doubling of our visitor numbers over the last five years.”

The next Anga Cable Show will take place from June 12 to 14, 2012 in Cologne (Germany). In 2011, the event continued its success story and has produced another record in exhibitor and visitor numbers.

For the first time, 16,500 trade visitors travelled to Cologne. 43 % of the visitors came from abroad (from 67 countries). 420 international exhibitors from 37 countries were present on the by 15 % increased and fully booked exhibition space.

Additional up-to-date information for exhibitors and visitors is available on the website at www.angacable.com. Anga Cable is organized by the Association of German Cable Operators (ANGA) and supported by ZVEI (Satellite & Cable).
