The Bulgarian incumbent telco BTC, which operates under the brand name Vivacom, has been put up for sale.
According to Sofia Echo, Dubai-based Oger Telecom, which almost acquired the company a year ago, is again interested in buying it.
BTC has seen several changes of ownership in the last few years and is currently backed by a consortium represented by PineBridge Investments.
Morgan Stanley is acting as a consultant for the company’s creditors, who are seeking a buyer.
BTC’s interests include the DTH platform Vivacom TV.
Launched in September 2010, it became the second largest provider of digital TV services in Bulgaria after just four months.
The latest set of results, for the third quarter, published by BTC (Vivacom) did not include a subscriber figure for the platform.
