Discovery Networks International (DNI) has promoted its CFO Doug Baker to the position of executive VP and CFO. It has also named John Honeycutt its executive VP and COO.
As COO, Honeycutt will work closely with Mark Hollinger, president and CEO, DNI, and four presidents and MDs in formulating divisional strategies across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
He will also lead the coordination of DNI’s corporate services, be directly responsible for the management of the centralised strategy and research functions and work closely with Discovery’s international programming, ad and affiliate sales teams.
Baker, on the other hand, has over 20 years of domestic and international financial management experience and will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of DNI.
He will also serve as a key strategic partner to Hollinger and the regional presidents and MDs. Baker joined Discovery in 2005 as CFO for Discovery Commerce.
