Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has decided to issue a warning to RCS&RDS for not distributing the sports channel GSP TV.
According to Financiarul, this follows the addition of GSP TV to the list of must-carry services for cable operators on July 12 and subsequent complaints from RCS&RDS subscribers that they are still not being offered the channel.
The list of must-carry services currently consists of 36 channels, six of which, according to the Romanian Association for Audience Measurement (ARMA), had all-day audience shares of 0.01% or less in 2010.
GSP TV’s audience share was 0.10% and it was included in the list following an appeal from its licence holder Camina Trust SRL, which is part of the Intact Media Group.
RCS&RDS is the leading cable company in Romania and also operates its largest DTH platform.
