The leading Croatian IPTV platform MAXtv, which is operated by the incumbent telco T-HT, is to show games from the country’s premier football league on an exclusive basis.
Instead of being previously offered 30 games, they will be able to watch over 100 televised live.
They will include all those played by Dinamo Zagreb and Hadjuk, as well as most by Rijeka and Osijek.
Derby matches will be carried in the Basic MAXtv package, while all others will be offered in the MAXtv sports packages, Arenasport1 and Arenasport2.
Following a deal between T-HT and the Croatian football league, the first division has been renamed MAXtv Prva liga (MAXtv First Division).
There will be a total of 240 games played in the upcoming season and MAXtv will carry its first game in HD on September 10.
MAXtv is one of the most successful IPTV operations in Central and Eastern Europe and currently claims over 300,000 subscribers.
