UPC Broadband Slovakia has launched an expanded digital MMDS service covering the capital, Bratislava, and surrounding area.
According to the operator, it offers a basic package of nearly 60 channels, as well as dozens of sports, documentary, hobby, music and kids channels.
The basic package costs €14 a month, with a extra package of nine Hungarian channels being offered for €1.51.
Subscribers also have the option of such additional features as an EPG and PVR.
UPC Broadband Slovakia secured a 10-year MMDS licence from the Slovak Telecom Office (TUSR) this June and the new service, known as UPC Digital MMDS, is aimed at viewers living in villages near the capital and specifically those between it and the cities of Trnava and Dunajská Streda.
