Glashart Media, the largest provider of radio and television services on fibre-to-the-home networks in Netherlands, is to expand the number of Turkish channels on its network through a new cooperation with UniverseTV.
UniverseTV focuses on the provision of IPTV packages to Turkish residents in the Netherlands. Thanks to a cooperation with IPTV Iletisim, Cihan Media Group in Turkey, a wide range of Turkish TV channels will become available. The service is launching this month with a basic bouquet of 20 channels.
During 2011 the number of available TV channels is expected to grow to more than 80, including a large number of Turkish local and regional channels.
With the addition of the new Turkish TV packages Glashart Media is better able to meet the growing demand from the Turkish community. In addition, it offers housing cooperatives and apartment building owners a good alternative for the placement of satellite dishes on balconies and rooftops.
