Dailymotion has announced the appointment of Daniel Adams as the company’s first head of international content. He will be based in London, Dailymotion’s new hub for its new content team.
In this newly created role, Adams will be responsible for managing and developing Dailymotion’s relationship with all content partners based outside of US and France. From London, he will oversee a team made up of content acquisition managers and editors based in key territories around the globe.
Dailymotion already works with many premium content partners around the world including major record labels, television broadcasters and sports rights holders. Adams’ responsibility is to deepen those existing relationships and to bring even more high quality content partners to Dailymotion.
Before joining Dailymotion, Adams was managing director of Livestation, the online live TV news streaming service, which now offers its broad selection of TV news channels on Dailymotion.
Luc Dumont, VP international development of Dailymotion, said in a statement: “Bringing Daniel on board will enable Dailymotion to greatly increase our international content offering. This in turn will drive audience growth and revenue for our fast growing international business.”
