UPC Romania appears to have steadied the ship ahead of a possible sale by its owner Liberty Global to RCS&RDS.
Preliminary results published by Liberty Global and quoted by ZF show that the operator had revenues of €121.1 million in 2010, or almost 2% less than a year earlier, when they stood at €123.4 million.
At their peak, they amounted to €173.2 million in 2007, before falling to €144.8 million the following year.
Given that UPC Romania posted a 7% reduction in total subscribers last year and the general price war raging between the company, RCS&RDS and Romtelecom, the smaller reduction in revenues points to greater take-up of such additional services as HD and PVR.
