Subscriber numbers at the Israeli cable network HOT fell below the 900,000 level in 2010.
Globes reported that while the company posted NIS 3.25 billion (€658 million) in revenues, a 4% increase on 200, and a 34.7% increase in net profits at NIS 106 million the company was unable to hold onto its subscribers.
The number of TV subscribers fell to 891,000 at the end of 2010 from 912,000 in the previous year. Internet subscribers increased by 51,000 on the year to 752,000 and telephony subscribers added 89,000 to 610,000.
Earlier this week HOT’s satellite competitor Yes reported a 7,000 increase in subscriptions to reach 578,000.
Cable television revenue was NIS 2.23 billion in 2010 and inland telephony and Internet revenue was NIS 1.03 billion.
