UPC Polska, Vectra and Multimedia Polska maintained their positions as the top three cable operators in Poland at the end of 2010, according to data published by the country’s Chamber of Electronic Communication (PIKE).
Liberty owned UPC Polska had the highest number of digital TV subscribers (370,700), with Vectra and Multimedia Polska claiming 314,000 and 142,000 respectively.
UPC Polska also had a total of 524,600 fixed internet subscribers, compared Multimedia Polska’s 357,000 (plus 6,800 mobile internet) and Vectra’s 281,000 (plus 1,763 mobile internet).
Aster, Toya, Inea and Stream Communications, acknowledged to be the next four largest operators, did not provide data for PIKE’s survey.
However, the next ranked operators Petrus, Promax and Sat Film included 7,400, 10,000 and 2,300 digital TV subscribers respectively in their customer base.
