The Bulgarian incumbent telco BTC, which operates under the brand name Vivacom, ended 2010 as the second largest provider of satellite TV services in the country.
Results published by the company show that Vivacom TV, the DTH service it launched only last summer, already had nearly 30,000 subscribers at year’s end.
Commenting on this performance, the telco said: “Vivacom plans to continue and increase investment in high quality digital television services.”
Although Vivacom saw its revenues decline by 4% in 2010, its profits rose by 45% to BGN116.4 million (€59.6 million).
