UPC has upped the ante in its fight with RCS/RDS and Romtelecom in Romania. At the same time, Digital Cable Systems (DCS) has secured funding to help in its expansion plans.
ZF reports that the Liberty Global-backed company has launched two new digital packages aimed specifically at business clients – Business TV Digital Optim, offering 60 channels for €5 a month; and Business TV Digital Confort, 94 channels for €8 a month.
The packages include 11 HD channels and subscribers can also buy a PVR with a 320 GB hard disk.
DCS, which operates cable and DTH services under the brand name AKTA, has meanwhile secured a loan of RON1 million (€233,637) from the Transylvanian Bank.
