Polish public radio has launched a new TV channel. Known as Radio na Wizji (Vision Radio) and effectively a TV version of its fourth channel, it has immediately secured carriage on the DTH platform Cyfra+.
Quoted by Wirtualne Media, Polskie Radio spokesman Jaroslaw Hasinski said the start up costs of the channel were around PLN3.5 million (€902,750) and that it is aiming for revenues of PLN20-30 million in its second year of operation.
Radio na Wizji is distributed FTA by Hot Bird and is also being offered by the cable operators Toya and Satfilm. Furthermore, it will be made available over the internet.
The channel’s main target audience is viewers aged 25-39.
