The Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT has begun to rebroadcast three HD channels in the Kaunas region of the country.
The channels in question – Eurosport HD, Discovery HD Showcase and National Geographic HD – are being distributed via DVB-T transmitters and can be received within a 50km radius of the city of Kaunas.
TEO LT already offers the HD channels to its subscribers living within a 50km radius of the capital, Vilnius.
The TeliaSonera-backed incumbent operates IPTV and DTT platforms, both under the brand name Gala.
