Divitel appoints Dirk Jaeger as CTO

November 18, 2010 11.20 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Divitel teamDivitel, a Dutch independent systems integrator and digital video solutions provider, has announced the establishment of a new office in Hannover, Germany. Dirk Jaeger and Bart Brusse will head the new German team.

Jaeger will assume his role as MDr of the new office alongside his position as chief technological officer (CTO) of Divitel. Jaeger was senior researcher at the Technical University of Braunschweig; the well-known DVB Centre of Excellence. Between January 1997 and December 2007, he held the position of technical director at EuroCableLabs, the European Cable Communications Association’s Centre of Competence for Broadband Technologies.

Bart Brusse has joined Divitel as MD (Geschäftsführer) of the German office and will be responsible for marketing and new business development. Brusse has a long track record in digital media consultancy. He worked for Casema between 1992 and 2000 as head of Strategy & Business Development.

The opening of the German office comes at the time when Divitel has won the Plug&Work prize in the Hannover Impuls programme; an EU-initiative awarding innovation in technical developments.

In a statement, Hans Kornman, CEO of Divitel, said: “I’m very glad that Dirk Jaeger and Bart Brusse join our fast growing team. This German expansion fits entirely in our ambitions. At Divitel in Hannover we can better serve our German clients the right Divitel customer focus.”
