Hungary ended September with 1,846,000 fixed broadband subscriptions, according to a report published by the country’s National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH).
ADSL accounted for 802,518 of the total, followed by broadband via cable (714,620, of which 49,240 were via DOCSIS 3) and broadband via FTTX (191,706).
The number of subscriptions with bandwidth in excess of 30 Mbps continues to grow steadily in Hungary, accounting for 14.1% of the total, as opposed to 13.6% a month earlier.
Cable DOCSIS 3.0 and FTTX connections stood at 49,200 and 191,700 respectively at the end of September, though a further 400,000 (approximately) homes could be reached via DOCSIS 3.0 offering access at over 30 Mbps.
