The leading Polish commercial broadcaster Polsat saw its revenues grow by a higher rate than the TV ad market in the first half of the year, according to Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, its founder and main shareholder.
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, he declined to give an actual figure, though it is known that the TV ad market in Poland expanded by in the region of 8-8.5% between January and June.
Solorz-Zak also confirmed that Polsat plans to add a further channel to its portfolio, bringing the total number to 14, either at the end of this year or beginning of 2011. It will be a music-oriented service targeting young viewers.
