Globecast has confirmed that its chairman and CEO Christian Pinon is to leave the communications services provider on September 30 to join the television products division of sister France Telecom company Orange France. His place will be taken by Olivier Barberot, the former executive VP of human resources at France Telecom/Orange.
Pinon has been in post for over 10 years, rejoining France Telecom after 12 years with Alcatel Telspace, where he served both as CEO and later chairman.
Barberot, 55, joined France Telecom in March 2003 as a member of the executive committee in charge of development and optimisation of human skills. He has been executive vice president in charge of human resources for the group and operations in Poland since 2006.
