The Dutch premium football channel Eredivisie Live will launch an HD version of its main channel Eredivisie Live 1 at the start of the new season.
From this August, Eredivisie Live will broadcast all live games on the first channel in HD quality, the first being the Roda JC-FC Twente match on Friday, August 6.
Eredivisie Live is available on most platforms in its SD version, including cable, IPTV, DTH and DTT. Of the cable operators, UPC, Ziggo and CAIW have now announced they will carry the HD channel and have increased the monthly subscription fee. Also, FTTH provide Glashart Media will carry Eredivisie Live HD.
For CAIW subscribers, the monthly charge goes up to € 14.95 from € 11.95. UPC said a stand-alone subscription to Eredivisie LIve will now cost €12.50 instead of €9.95. A bundle of Eredivisie Live and Sport1 will cost €17.50 (was €14.95) and the Film1/Sport1/Eredivisie Live bundle is now €27.50 (up from €26.95). Ziggo subscribers will pay €16.95 instead of €14.95.
