Long awaited consolidation in the Polish electronic communications market may extend to the sale of EmiTel, the national transmission company at the forefront of the country’s transition to digital broadcasting.
Quoted in Gazeta Prawna, Grazyna Piotrowska-Oliwa, the VP of Employers of Poland (previously known as the Confederation of Polish Employers), said that the sale of EmiTel by the incumbent telco TP is probably the most eagerly awaited event by the market right now.
However, according to Gazeta Prawna, also very much on the agenda is the take-over of Aster, Poland’s fourth largest cable operator, by any of the top three – UPC Polska, Vectra and Multimedia Polska.
