The French media authority CSA has given the go-ahead to public broadcaster France Ô to get national digital terrestrial coverage by the end of the month of June.
The channel will broadcast in the R1 multiplex, as do the other public channels. As a result, the Franco-German cultural channel Arte will move to the R6 multiplex. Viewers have to perform a new search in order to receive the two channels on their assigned position in the digital terrestrial bouquet.
Arte will take its new place as from today, June 8 and a scroll bar will tell viewers to re-scan their tuner in order to keep Arte at position #7. Before the end of the month, France Ô will become available nationally.
France Ô is part of the France Télévisions group of public channels and features programming from the French overseas departments and territories (DOM-TOM). The “O” stands for Outre-Mer (overseas).
