Penthouse HD will make its Israeli debut on the HOT network in May. The distribution agreement was signed by HOT and Penthouse Digital Media Productions. The channel is scheduled to launch on HOT’s digital platform and will broadcast between 22.30 and 05.00.
Penthouse HD is a Full Native HD channel from the adult entertainment brand Penthouse, which was established over 40 years ago. Penthouse HD channels are broadcast around the world, including the US and major European markets.
The addition of the Penthouse HD channel to HOT’s existing HD channels substantially expands HOT’s HD offering in the Israeli market. HOT’s current HD line-up includes: HOT 3 HD, HOT Movies HD, Eurosport HD, Sport 5 HD, MGM HD, HOT Bollywood HD, Nat Geo HD, MTV HD, FTV HD and hundreds of hours of HD VOD content.
Mr. Ron Hermelin, head of channels for HOT, said in a statement, “HOT continues to lead the television market with cutting edge innovation, quality and technological advancement and launches for the first time, exclusively on our services a Native HD Erotic Channel. Adult entertainment has come a long way from the days viewers had to rent out fuzzy VHS tapes.”
Mr. Jacky Wauters, CEO of NOA Productions, who is commercialising the Penthouse HD channels in Europe, said, “Sales of HD hardware including HD television and HD enabled set-top boxes have been on the rise for quite some time in Europe resulting in high consumer demand for top quality HD programming. The well known Penthouse brand is perfectly positioned to capitalise on this critical market share.”
