Deutsche Welle has signed three new partners in Asia. TMnet in Malaysia, the WOWtv bouquet in Taiwan and Indovision in Indonesia will all distribute DW-TV Asia+. This is Deutsche Welle’s dedicated feed for the region with 18 hours of English programming per day, offering a mix of European lifestyle, culture and the arts as well as in-depth reports from business and politics.
“We are extremely happy to have found such great partners to work with in these three territories,” says Angelika Newel, Deutsche Welle’s head of distribution for Asia and Australia, in a statement. “Our brand of quality television will let viewers in Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia get an inside look at Europe.”
DW-TV Asia+ showcases programming titles like Euromaxx, a daily lifestyle magazine showing facets of European living and glamour and Drive it! that keeps viewers in touch with the latest auto news from Germany and the rest of Europe. The channel operates alongside DW-TV Asia, which broadcasts in German. Both channels are available in the region on AsiaSat 3S.
TMnet is the only HSBB provider in Malaysia. DW-TV Asia+ is in the WOWtv bouquet on Chunghwa – an IPTV platform in Taiwan. Indovision is a DTH satellite provider for the Indonesian market.
