NDS will continue to secure Telekom Austria’s IPTV service on the latter’s new Ericsson platform. The two companies have announced that they have extended their relationship to secure the operator’s IPTV service.
Building on their existing relationship, the agreement will see NDS integrate its VideoGuard encryption technology with the new platform from Ericsson to ensure that the operator’s service remains uncompromised.

“There are exciting times ahead and we are reassured by the fact that our service remains secure” commented Walter Goldenits, CTO Telekom Austria TA AG. “We look forward to continuing our work with NDS and trust in the company’s expertise in integration to provide a seamless transition.” NDS has provided the security for Telekom Austria’s IPTV service since 2005.
