Tricolor TV boosts offer

The leading Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV has added four more channels to its Super-Optimum offer, distributed by Eutelsat W7 at 36 degrees East in MPEG-4. The channels in question – Interesnoe TV, Kuhnya TV, La-minor TV and TV Bulvar – are produced by the Red Media holding, described as a long-term partner of the platform.

Interesnoe TV focuses on hobbies/collecting, while Kuchnya TV is a cookery channel and La-minor is described as the first channel dedicated to Russian music. TV Bulvar is a talk channel, featuring interviews with stars and celebrities.

Tricolor TV is the fastest growing DTH platform in Europe and is currently believed to have in the region of 6 million subscribers. Its Super-Optimum packages uses DRE-Crypt conditional access and is available free of charge to subscribers of the Optimum package.
