Anga Cable reports ‘first class booking rate’

November 23, 2009 21.12 Europe/London By Robert Briel

anga-2009Six months before its start, Anga Cable, the European trade fair for cable, broadband and satellite, has announced what it calls “a first-class booking rate”. Binding registrations have been received for more than 50% of the available exhibition space. The allocation of stand space will start on January 8, 2010.

Anga Cable will take place in Cologne, Germany, from May 4 – 6, 2010. In 2009, 383 international exhibitors presented their products and services to 13,600 trade visitors from 69 countries. A total of 42% of the visitors came to Cologne from abroad.

Anga’s MD Dr. Peter Charissé said in a statement: “The exhibitors‘ interest remains as high as in the record year 2009. The cable operators’ triumphant success in the Broadband markets creates additional momentum for our event. Cable and broadband never were more innovative and exciting than today. The industry will present itself in top form in Cologne next May.”

The Strategy Summit on the first day of the event will be the discussion platform for the CEOs of all large German cable operators and the top representatives of the media and broadband industry – in German it’s called “the elephants’ round”.

The second day starts with the International Broadband Summit, within which top representatives from five countries will discuss the current developments in the European triple play markets. In total, seven events are planned in English. As in previous years, there will be a simultaneous translation German/English and vice versa for all events. The complete congress agenda will be published in March.

A ticket for the exhibition will cost €20.00. A congress ticket for the complete strategy and technology programme (including access to the exhibition) will cost €180.00, in combination with the evening reception “Anga Cable Night” €240.00. A “technology ticket” which grants access to the technology panels and the exhibition will be available at €90.00. All prices are including VAT.

NOTE – Anga Cable 2010 takes place at the earlier dates of May 4 – 6, 2010. You can already reserve your hotel room with Booking.com by clicking here.
