Cartoon Network and TCM are now being offered as separate 24-hour services on the Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat rather than sharing a single channel.
According to Turner, both will continue to be available to subscribers of the platform’s Familijny package.
Commenting on the move, Gordana Duspara Moriarty, VP and GM for CEE at TBS Europe said: “ Rolling out the portfolio of 24 hour channels to as many homes is, naturally, one of the pillars of our strategy. TCM has evolved over the years and has become a leading movie channel in the Polish market as shown by the AGB data. We are delighted that Cyfrowy Polsat homes will now be able to enjoy TCM during the day as well. This is equally good news for Cartoon Network lovers as they will be able to watch their favourite shows 24 hours a day.”
