The joint committee of the regional media authorities (ZAK) in Germany has approved applications from three broadcasters, including Sky Deutschland.
Permission was given to Sky Deutschland to launch its VOD service Sky Select, which will offer customers the possibility to view movies and so-called”full erotic” titles, independent of the kind of subscription they take. Only a Sky-approved PVR is necessary.
The company CP Entertainment was given permission to launch their channel cpm24.tv, a family and sports orientated channel with an emphasis on horse riding, dancing and basketball.
The third broadcaster getting the green light is Yacht Planet TV, which plans an HD channel covering yachts and sailing.
