Discovery Networks EMEA has announced the appointment of Caleb Weinstein to the position of senior VP and general manager, Emerging Markets and of Nicolas Bonard as senior VP of Discovery Enterprises International.
Weinstein will be responsible for the region’s portfolio of eight channels, including flagship Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and ID: Investigation Discovery to 89 countries throughout Russia & CIS, Southern and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will have direct oversight of advertising and affiliate sales, programming, marketing and communications.
In his new role, Weinstein will be based in London and report directly to Arthur Bastings, executive VP and MD, Discovery Networks EMEA.
Bonard takes the reigns from Caleb Weinstein. Reporting to Sahar Elhabashi, COO, Discovery Networks International, Bonard will have direct oversight of Discovery’s international programme and private networks sales, co-financing, consumer products and licensing activities.
Bonard hails from production finance, distribution and consulting firm Screen Optus, Ltd., where he served as founder and co-president.
