The new Dutch culture channel BravaNL will launch on July 1 on the UPC and Lijbrandt Telecom networks in Haarlem and environs.
The channel was selected by the regional programme council to be part of the basic analogue tier. Such recommendations are compulsary for cable operators.
BravaNL is the Dutch version of the international Brava HDTV channel, specializing in showing performing arts. The company also operates the Dutch language music channel Oranje TV and Schlager TV, specialising in this special brand of German language music.
BravaHDTV is available across Europe on selected networks in The Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France and Portugal.
Negotiations are under way for distribution in Poland, Spain and Switzerland.
