ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. The Scandinavian modular head-end manufacturer Appear TV will bring two new modules to Cologne.
The first will offer audio leveling functionality, enabling the user to adjust the audio level for each channel individually in an MPEG-2 domain.
While this will overcome the issue of varying audio levels between TV and radio channels from different studios and encoders, it will unfortunately not resolve the dynamic differences within the broadcast output of a single channel.
The second will meanwhile be designed to turn up the RF power to address the largest cable networks’ and operators’ demand for the best analogue and RF performance.
