Denmark’s leading cable operator YouSee added 9% to its revenues in the first quarter, reflecting the results of its parent company, the telco TDC.
YouSee reported Q1 revenues of DKK 849m (€114.02m), due largely to additional cable TV revenues of DKK 57m, driven by the combination of a larger subscriber base that now stands at 1,167,000 and a greater selection of TV channels.
Revenue from broadband also increased, while the telephony subscriber base experienced the greatest increase of 28.2%, taking the total to 51,000 customers including 41,000 connected through VoIP.
EBITDA stood at DKK 275m in 1Q 2009, up DKK 42m or 18% on 1Q 2008.
