The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ is to introduce redesigned versions of the Philips-branded HD and PVR HD receivers.
The hybrid boxes combine reception of the satcaster’s subscription packages with the free-to-air digital terrestrial transmissions now available in the country.
Commenting on the development, Bertrand Le Guern, the chairman of the board at Canal+ Cyfrowy, said that DTT is very much in the company’s plans at present.
Canal + Cyfrowy would like to both operate the forthcoming second multiplex and distribute a channel on the platform.
The Philips brand is now under licence to Pace France.
