The incumbent Polish telco TPSA’s TV subscriber base grew by 75%, and four-fold year-on-year, in what was an otherwise difficult first quarter for the France Telecom-backed company.
As of the end of March, it stood at 198,000, as opposed to 113,000 three months earlier, with its recently launched satellite service Orange accounting for 112,000 of the total and IPTV the remaining 86,000.
The VoIP client base stood at 162,000 and number of Livebox clients at 582,000.
TPSA’s revenues in Q1 were, at PLN4.526 billion (€1 billion), 4.5% lower than in the same period last year.
EBITDA was 17.5% lower, while net debt after hedging stood at PLN522 million.
