THE CABLE SHOW – WASHINGTON DC. OpenTV is planning to offer a slimline version of its Eclipse Plus campaign management technology in the European and Asian markets.
In partnership with Arris and its linear Ad Management System, OpenTV has been demonstrating the ability to replace nationally scheduled advertisements with localised substitutions based on local market data.
The Eclipse Plus technology was acquired from CAM Systems and is used by US operators that include Comcast, Time Warner and Brighthouse.
One potential European client is UPC, which already runs OpenTV middleware, and carries local ads on its Amsterdam network.
