Telekom Slovenije ended 2008 with a 52.7% share of Slovenia’s IPTV market.
T-2, its nearest rival, accounted for 43.5% and Amis and Tus Telekom 2.9% and 0.9% respectively.
The incumbent telco was also the leading provider of fixed broadband access, accounting for 49.1% of all connections.
T-2 was again in second place, with 18.2%, followed by Amis (8.7%), the cable operator UPC (7.5%) and a number of smaller providers.
Telekom Slovenije says it is driving the growth of FTTH technology in Slovenia and had 15,000 users of FTTH connections at the end of 2008.
