MTV Networks Germany has announced that the German cable operator Unitymedia will launch the German version of Nick Jr on its network on March 31.The cabler is also adding three more channels to its digital TV line-up. On the same day, Unitymedia will also start distributing TNT Serie, Daystar and NTV Türkiye.
Nick Jr targets pre-school kids aged from three to five. Various language versions of the channel are already available in Italy, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. The potential reach across Europe is 10 million households.
Turner’s TNT Serie is already available on Premiere Star and will expand its distribution on the German market with the new distribition contract. Similar announcement with other platforms are expected soon. The channel specialises in TV series such as 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Rescue Me, Big Love, Monk, King Of Queens and Without A Trace.
Daystar is a paneuropean religous broadcaster and NTV Türkiye will augment the Turkish language offer of the cabler.
