Echostar has provided details of products it plans to bring to market this year, all of which will be demonstrated at the Cable Congress in Berlin and IPTV World Forum in the next couple of weeks.
According to Rick Smith, VP sales and marketing at Echostar Europe, they include the new Valencia HD DVR, which employs Nagravision conditional access and MHP middleware and will be launched towards the end of H1 this year.
Also on show will be a product, provisionally named E Sling, containing an integrated Slingbox.
It, too, will probably be launched this year, perhaps in 2-3 countries and maybe in a public service environment, as such services are moving increasingly towards HD.
