Norwegian football fans will have a new way to watch the action from the Tippeligaen when the new season kicks off on March 15.
Lyse Telecom has developed a new portal for its IPTV service that will allow viewers to make a selection from up to five games, along with score updates and match highlights.
“We present everything on one screen, combining the best interactivity from the internet with the best sound and picture quality from the TV,” explained Lyse’s Telecom director Eirik Gundegjerde. “From our football portal it is possible to follow several matches on-screen at once. With the remote you can switch between matches, see earlier highlights from live matches, and also get real-time results and tables.”
The service will be available to Altibox TV customers on a basic subscription at no extra charge, giving access to all 240 matches played in the the Tippeligaen in 2009 and 30 matches from the Adeccoliga, Norway’s second football tier.
125,000 customers are connected to the Altibox service through their local energy company and telecoms provider.
