The Spanish IPTV provider Jazztel has introduced a new internet product allowing for upload speeds of up to 2.5Mbps.
Jazztel began using ADSL2+ as far back as 2005, and its Annex M service builds on the technology to offer subscribers the chance to upload much faster than previously, acknowledging that the internet is an increasingly participatory medium.
Indeed, 50% of web users aged 16-44 in Spain now access social networking sites.
Annex M will operate on a trial basis ahead of a full launch this summer.
